Dégustation

  • Tasting notes: The wine is characterised by a lovely freshness on the nose. This minerality is also found on the palate, where citrus notes mingle with fresh fruit aromas. Ageing potential: 5-7 years.
  • Production: approximately 3,000 bottles per year.

Terroir

  • Area: 0.50 hectares
  • Location: Combination of two plots; the first is located at the bottom of the sunny hillside to the west of the village and the second is in a cooler valley near the hamlet of Gamay.
  • Orientation: south for the first and north-east for the second.
  • Grape variety: Chardonnay.
  • Age: 25 years for both plots.
  • Soil: clay-limestone.

Viticulture

  • Cultivation method: sustainable, without herbicides or insecticides
  • Harvesting: manual

Vinification

  • Vinification: The grapes are pressed using a pneumatic press, the juice is then lightly clarified and placed in barrels where alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place naturally.
  • Ageing: 100% in oak barrels, 15% of new, for 11 months, then blended in stainless steel vats and bottled after 15 months.
