Dégustation

  • Tasting notes: The powerful nose delivers aromas of ripe fruit and almonds. The attack is rich and powerful. The minerality of the terroir reveals itself on the finish, giving the wine beautiful length. Ageing potential: 7-9 years.
  • Production: approximately 3,500 bottles per year.

Terroir

  • Area: 0.53 hectares
  • Location: Plot located halfway up the hillside, close to ‘Remilly’ and ‘Murgers des dents de Chien’. This locality is also known as ‘Sur Gamay’.
  • Exposure: south-west
  • Grape variety: Chardonnay
  • Age: 15 years
  • Soil: Clay-limestone

Viticulture

  • Cultivation method: sustainable, without herbicides or insecticides
  • Harvesting: manual

Vinification

  • Vinification: The grapes are pressed using a pneumatic press. The lightly settled juice is then placed in barrels, where alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place naturally.
  • Ageing: 100% in oak barrels, 20% of new, for 11 months, then blended in stainless steel vats and bottled after 15 months.
